Most residents rate safety as one of the top priorities in their list of needs when choosing to live in a retirement village. With staff at Yukana sharing the same priorities, residents are reassured and able to take ownership of safety measures that are in place throughout the village.
This is evidenced by their attendance at fire evacuation training which is held regularly throughout the year. Although Yukana is fortunate enough to have never required residents to action their evacuation plan, it is reassuring for everyone that they know what to do if the event ever arose.
